Savannah has always been one of my very favorite places, partly because of the history it holds, and because, let's face it-it's just plain gorgeous sometimes! This little stop-over on our way home from North Carolina was just for one night, but we made the most of it, stopping by all of our favorite riverfront stores and waking up before the sun to walk through the cemetery. I really love the idea that the buildings, the places themselves, can hold a narrative of their own. Each with their own personality and scars, given an extra measure of character by the many people who over the past few hundred years have left their mark on the place. The buildings speak to me a story, beautiful, of life and of decay. I feel as if could wander these streets forever. I don't travel too often, but when I do, I love to share my stories with you all. I'm excited to start this Travel Journal section of my website, as daunting as it is, because this type of photography is new to me and challenging. I hope you enjoy it!
