Casey Kunmann, Soprano / Boston Conservatory
The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.
— J S Bach

Those of you that know Casey know that she's all about music. Singing is the blood running through her veins, along with a mixture of coffee, juice, and essential oils. Casey has always been one of my muses, willing to let me experiment with new equipment, locations and techniques throughout the years. This headshot and lifestyle session was no different, we worked with new lighting and a new location that I really love. Check out the simplicity and minimalism of this background and her dress is the perfect choice for professional headshots as well as nice lifestyle shots.

I am so excited for Casey as she moves into the next stage of her life and career, studying Voice Performance at Boston Conservatory for her Masters of Music. She will be focusing on operatic repertoire as well as oratorio and art song and hopes to participate in BoCo's operas, as well as premiere new works by composers. It's so important as a young musician to take every opportunity to make connections and follow every lead. I am so excited to see Casey's career take off and follow all of the adventures this season brings her on her Facebook page (which you can find by clicking here).

In light of everything that's been happening this year in life, politics and culture, Casey and I both feel like this quote has been a guide and inspiration for us:

This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.
— Leonard Bernstein
