Birds of a Feather

There are so many reasons I like birds. The sense of freedom they bring, the piercing look in their eye, the fabric like patterns their feathers create. These are a few of my favorites, collected over the years from zoos, wildlife refuges, and even my own backyard. My favorite bird for the longest time has been the owl, for it's ability to gaze into the soul, for the connotations with wisdom and protection, and because one time in 7th grade I got to dissect an owl pellet and it was pretty awesome.

A few of these images have been published in Palm Beach Atlantic University's annual creative writing magazine, Living Waters, and it always thrills me to be able to share my nature photos with a wider audience.

Questions are always welcome! :)
