It’s been a hot minute since I’ve photographed anything just for fun. It seems to me that whenever I’m burning out in one aspect of my life, I feel the need to create in another. I’d been talking about shooting a fun and different concept for a little while, something outside of my style norms, something to stretch my shooting and editing flow.
For the first shoot of Summer 2019, I decided to turn back to old postcards of endless summer days, taking inspiration from nostalgia and old film shots of my great-grandmother posing on Palm Beach with her sisters in the 40s.
Big thanks to Megan, Melodee, and Kai who jumped in last minute to bring this concept shoot to life.
It’s super out of my comfort zone and I’ve never done anything like this before, but I think I kinda dig it…
